• to represent the interests of the profession, among other things, with regard to the economic situation and social security vis-à-vis politics and administration
• to improve the working conditions of artists
• to make the work of professional artists in the region known in Bremen and outside of Bremen
• to promote the exchange with artists in Germany and abroad
• to support the cooperation between the members
• to act for the visual arts in local networks together with colleagues from all artistic disciplines such as the performing arts, music, film and literature
• to maintain the exchange and cooperation with the Federal BBK and the state associations.
